Do you use a dynamic tariff and want to know if electricity is currently cheap or expensive without checking your phone? The Shelly Plus Plug S offers a simple solution to show everyone in the household whether the electricity price is currently low or high.
Simple setup:
- Shelly App: Configure the LED ring lighting in the Shelly Plus Plug S settings. Select a color and intensity for the "On" state (cheap electricity) and a different color for the "Off" state (expensive electricity).

Our app settings:
- Activate "Smart Control".
- Enter the nominal power of your PV system (e.g., 10 kWp = 10000 Watts). If you do not have a PV system, this value is not critical.
- Use the "Price Signal" function to set a price threshold below which electricity is considered cheap, and activate the price signal.
Smart Control: In the device overview, set the selector switch to "Smart". Our app will now control the switch exclusively via the price signal, allowing you to see at any time whether electricity is cheap or expensive.

- Download app: Download our app from the respective store to your phone.
- Register and create an account: Register and create an account.
- Enter electricity tariff: Enter your electricity tariff and, if applicable, the grid feed-in remuneration of your PV system in your profile.
- Download Shelly Smart Control app: Download the Shelly Smart Control app to your phone.
- Register and create an account: Register and create an account.
- Connect Shelly Plus Plug S: Connect the Shelly Plus Plug S to the Shelly app.
